It is with the greatest sadness that I learned today of the passing of my wonderful friend, Nancy. Her husband, Bruce, of over 50 years, called. He said Nancy died unexpectedly, on 06/19/24, in San Diego. She is survived by three wonderful children, their spouses and five grandchildren. There will be a memorial later this year by Nancy's favorite place near The Yough Lake and Dam. My sadness at this news is boundless. I have been in regular contact with Nancy over the years, visiting with her in Pittsburgh and in San Diego and sharing many long phone conversations. She will be forever in my heart.

This is a real blow to the many Markham-ites who had the pleasure of growing up with this wonderful lady.  I remember the Birthday & Halloween parties at her home that were planned with such love...we all felt that love and had so much fun.  From Brownies to Girl Scouts through our High School years...we all remembered Nancy.  My personal condolensces to Bruce and her children and grand children....she will always be remembered fondly....Rest in Peace, Nancy.

The Summer I turned 21 - Summer of '69 - Nancy asked me if I'd like to drive across country with her so her folks could have a car for 1 week while they were out there - it was an amazing trip and one I'll never forget.  Life got in they way and we lost touch....but I'll always remember her and that trip!  Rest in Peace and Rise in Glory, Nancy.
