It is with a heavy heart that I notify you of the passing of my lifelong friend, Bonnie Nickeson Weil. Bonnie died after a two year battle with Hodgkin's lymphoma. She so much wanted more time with her precious grandchildren. She went through chemo therapy, gene cell therapy and finally CAR T cell therapy. She was finally declared cancer free but all these treatments had taken their toll on her body and immune system. When exposed to Covid-19 she had no ammunition left to fight it. Bonnie graduated from Miami of Ohio and was a teacher. She loved what she did and I am sure her students reaped the benefits. Bonnie had a strong faith and was active in her church. She was also a mentor and developed a loving relationship with a young girl. That young girl is now a teenager. Bonnie and I were really family. I will miss her more than I can really express in words. She lived in Georgia many years but Mt. Lebanon was always "home".

I am so sad to hear the news of the loss of Bonnie.  She was a sweet and lovely person.  My sincerest condolences to her family from whom she was taken much too soon.

I knew Bonnie well and spent many happy times with her and Michal Morrison back in the day in Lebo. She was one of the kindest and nicest persons that I have ever known. She was always happy and fun to be around. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Bonnie was one of my joys starting with junior high. My dear lifelong friend Susan Davis introduced us and Bonnie was a sweet and kind member of a special group of friends. Susan has kept in touch with me about Bonnie's challenges the last few years and it has been amazing what Bonnie persevered through cancer, remissions, recurreces, new health problems. We hoped she was finally at the end of those difficult times when she developed COVID. It is hard to endure the news of her loss and Neil Meyers so close together. These hit home that some of the dearest are becoming lost to us. Thank you Susan for your steadfast  friendship to Bonnis, to Michal, to me and all our long time friends.
