Geoffrey S. Bogman
Rick Montgomery has learned of Geoffrey's passing and has researched with his relatives the circumstances. The following are Rick's findings:
Geoffrey Scott Bogman
Born: March 6, 1948 in Bellevue, PA
Died: April 17, 2008 in Phoenix, AZ
Those of us who were in the marching band remember Geoff as a member of the trumpet section. After graduation, he enrolled at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, IL, but he left after 2 years to enlist in the Marine Corps. As part of his service, he spent one tour in Vietnam, in 1969-70, where he served with distinction.
On April 27, 1972, Geoff married Linda Marie Rulis in Cheswick, PA. Geoff and Linda had two daughters, Liza Ann Bogman (1973) and Karen Alexander Bogman (1974). Geoff and Linda eventually divorced, and, in 1981 he married Renee Jeanette Yates. At the time, Geoff was pursuing his career as a structural inspector of bridges in Houston, TX. Geoff and Renee had a son together, Geoffrey Scott Bogman, Jr., born in 1983.
Geoff developed adult-onset diabetes, which eventually took his life prematurely, in 2008. At the time of his death, Geoff was 60 years old and living in Phoenix, AZ. He is survived by his children and a sister, Cynthia Sue (Bogman) Hawkins, also living in Arizona.
