BONAROS NICHOLAS CHARLES Beloved husband of Helen N. Bonaros of 38 years, devoted son of Tulia N. Bonaros and the late Charles Bonaros, and loving brother of Nasia Hareras, passed quietly in his home surrounded by his family on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 after a long and heroic battle with Multiple Sclerosis. Nick is survived by his brother in-law, John Hareras; sister-in-law and husband, Stella and Dean Nacopoulos; five nieces; five nephews; and two great-nephews; along with caretaker, John McIntosh of 13 years. Nick was the proud owner of the Duke of Bubbles Car Wash for 25 years in Robinson Township and later co-owner and inspiration of Niko's Coffee House also in Robinson Township. Nick was a graduate of Mt. Lebanon High School, Penn State University and then received his MBA from Duquesne University. Prior to opening the car wash, he had a stellar career in advertising and marketing with Alberto Culver and later Burger King where he created a promotional campaign for the New York Yankees with George Steinbrenner. Funeral services by BEINHAUERS , 412-531-4000. Family and friends welcome at Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church, Gilkeson Road, Mt. Lebanon on Friday, March 1, 2013 from 2:00-4:30 p.m. and 6:00-8:30 p.m. A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Saturday with an additional viewing at 10:00 a.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church for the GOYA (Greek Orthodox Youth Association) or the T.H.E.O.S. school.
