John M. Good passed away on September 20, 1997 at the young age of 49 from a second bout of cancer.  From the time he realized the cancer had returned he died within 3 weeks peacefully at St. Clair Hospital surrounded by family and friends.

After graduating from Mt. Lebanon in 1966,  John went on to receive a degree from CMU in 1970 in Mechanial Engineering.  After college graduation, he worked for many international engineering firms travelling the globe balancing power generation turbines.  In speaking with his brother,  Bob said "he had a short life but he lived it to the fullest and had great opportunities seeing the world before he left us."
