Our beloved friend and brother passed away quietly about 30 min ago.

Please tell his other friends.

We were blessed to have him.

Then I received the following e-mail from Jack Petrelli:

About Duff's passing....they found a spot on one of his kidneys (sometime after the Memorial Day week-end)...it was cancerous...they removed it.....he was getting better...near the end of June he became ill once again....they found a clot and were treating that....he started showing signs of another infection.....they found another tumor on the other kidney....it had gown quite quickly...(three weeks)....there was apparently nothing they could do to save him.....he passed on July 8, 2011
