David Jones advised that Marcia Bell did some research and found out that Marianna Read died in 1998.  Her obituary is below.

Marianna Read Nielsen, 50, a painter and volunteer on the North Shore, died of cancer on Monday in her Winnetka home, where she had lived for the past 24 years. Mrs. Nielsen was born in Pittsburgh. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin and received a master's degree at Northwestern University. After graduating, she taught 6th-grade pupils at Northbrook's Maple School. She was a member of the Mission Board of the Winnetka Congregational Church. Survivors include her husband, James; mother, Marjorie Smoyer; a son, Peter; a daughter, Sarah; a sister, Linda Arnold; and a brother, James Read. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the Winnetka Congregational Church, 725 Pine St., Winnetka, IL

A personal note:   David took Marianna to the prom and has posted a picture of them on Prom Night, a nice memory!
