IN MEMORY
Nancy Nowe (Reasinger)
Nancy A. Nowe (Reasinger)
Born: August 30, 1948
Died: March 30, 1995
Nancy decided that, rather than enroll in college, she would marry her high school sweetheart, James J. (Jim) Reasinger (Mt. Lebanon class of 1965). Nancy was the oldest of 8 children. As the oldest, she developed a strong character, taking on much of the responsibility for helping to guide the development of her siblings. Nancy understood the value of family and carried that throughout her all-too-short adult life. She was a devoted wife and mother, bearing two beautiful daughters. Her daughters, Susan and Melissa, were each themselves blessed with two daughters. Tragically, Nancy did not get a chance to meet her four granddaughters, or to shower them with the love that she bestowed on everyone in her family.
Nancy was diagnosed with breast cancer when she was 36 years old. She bravely fought for 10 years until she finally succumbed to the disease at the early age of 46. Her beloved husband Jim passed away from lung cancer 4 short years later in 1999.
Those who fondly remember Nancy may think of her as a quiet and contented young woman who had a cheerful spirit. Nancy’s family wishes her former classmates to know that, even though Nancy is not physically with us today, she is with us in spirit.
